Have you been wanting to try your hand at watercolor? Fill your home with botanical images to inspire a green thumb?
Grace Engel, S+B's March exhibitor, will be teaching on the nuances of watercolor painting, providing plenty of time to practice and play before diving into creating your very own precious prints.
Students will leave with their finished print and their paintbrush from class.
Grace has an incredible eye for color and shapes, and students are sure to get a unique perspective on watercolor.
Some of Grace's work:
Grace Engel -- textile artist, painter, illustrator, community builder -- is mostly a self-taught artist born and raised in the midwest, who now calls Asheville home-base.
Her work focuses on the body from a female perspective, and she draws inspiration from her peers, her work in the mental health field, and her life experience of sensitivity and vulnerability.
Grace's work explores difficult issues surrounding gender, identity, and sexuality, and comments on the particularly female experience of living life in "the gaze."
