Knot Sampler Wall Hanging Workshop

Learn the ancient art of knot tying by creating a knot sampler wall hanging that's sure to warm up any wall in your home, office, or study!

This workshop will provide the foundation you need to begin filling your life with knots and macrame-ing pretty much anything you want -- belts, planters, jewelry, random decor, coffee cozies... you get the idea.

This workshop will be led by our March exhibitor, mixed media artist Grace Engel.

Grace Engel -- textile artist, painter, illustrator, community builder -- is mostly a self-taught artist born and raised in the midwest, who now calls Asheville home-base.

Her work focuses on the body from a female perspective, and she draws inspiration from her peers, her work in the mental health field, and her life experience of sensitivity and vulnerability.

Grace's work explores difficult issues surrounding gender, identity, and sexuality, and comments on the particularly female experience of living life in "the gaze."
