Bitter Stitches: A Monthly Stitch Sampler Workshop with Hopebroidery

There's actually nothing bitter and Bitter Stitches, and each month, right around the middle, I start getting excited about Hope's upcoming monthly stitch sampler workshop. It's always really easygoing and fun, and I always learn something new. Even though I watch embroidery YouTube videos (and, of course, the Hopebroidery feed), the experience is just so much more rich when you get to be right there, with the instructor, asking questions and drinking wine :)

All of our hoops together. We each had a little bit of a different style and it was so fun seeing each person's finished letter(s)!

Last night we learned about stem stitch which has literally changed my life, ate pizza, and cheers'd each other with pretty good box wine while we monogrammed our initials into a pretty linen, in precious 3" hoops.

My favorite part about learning from Hope is that she really is the most approachable person, ever. It's super comfortable asking her questions, she's great at helping correct mistakes without making you feel dumb, and she creates a vibe in the workshop that just feels... good.

So if you haven't yet jumped on the sampler train, mark your calendar for the fourth Thursday of every month! Next month's stitch will be coming out soon, so stay tuned for Instagram for updates!
